From my father, I heard that every year Penang will be held a big marathon which is called 'Penang Bridge International Marathon'. This sport event can be related to my personal project and it also to my personal project and it also attracted my attention, so i decided to do some research on it.

Penang Bridge International Marathon:
- The Penang Bridge International Marathon (PBIM) is a sports event catered to serious runners as well as amateur ones from both local and international grounds.
- Uniting thousands of marathon enthusiasts annually, the run is well knownfor its captivating sight of the sunrise as it reveals the panoramic view of the "Pearl of the Orient".
- Held every year since 1985, people from all over the world come togetherto participate in this thrilling occasion of running across the thirdlongest bridge in the world - The Penang Bridge, Penangites very own pride and joy.
- Catering to the PBIM event, it is the only time of the year that thishonourable national landmark is ever closed from traffic for several hours.
- Very popular among sportsmen, school-going youngsters, working adults andfamilies in search of a good time, the PBIM comprises of a full marathon,a half marathon, a quarter marathon and a 10 kilometer fun run opened to those above the age of 13.
- The Penang Bridge International Marathon is a much anticipated affair astrophies, finisher medals, and certificates among other prizes are givenout to those who have accomplished the race in their best time as well as to those who take part in this enjoyable event.

After my research, I decided to join this event because:
- Suitable Timing - I find it suitable for me because this event is held in November 17. With this, I can have at least 5 months of proper training before the event.
- International Event - This marathon is an International event. It is a very famous and well planned event in Malaysia compared to other marathon events.
- Convenient and Strategic - This marathon event is held nearby to my place.
- Knowing New Individuals - I chose to participate in this event because it's a well-organized event, I can take this opportunity to prove my abilities after my training. It also can enable me to meet new individuals.
- Social and Communication Skills - In the race, I will have plenty of opportunities to meet other runners. I can develop and improve my communication skills and social skills through this event.
